From June 19, 2026 Online stores must provide customers with an online withdrawal button (Art. 11a of Directive 2011/83/EU, as amended by Directive (EU) 2023/2673; in Italy, Art. 54-bis of the Consumer Code). This plugin adds it to WooCommerce/FunnelKit with a simple two-step process and—the part that really matters—the legal proof that the withdrawal has been exercised.

Cosa dice la legge

La Direttiva (UE) 2023/2673 ha introdotto l'articolo 11a nella direttiva sui diritti dei consumatori (2011/83/UE): per i contratti a distanza conclusi tramite un'interfaccia online il professionista deve mettere a disposizione una withdrawal function che renda l'esercizio del diritto facile almeno quanto è stata facile la conclusione del contratto.

In Italia il recepimento è avvenuto con il D.Lgs. 209/2025, che ha inserito l'art. 54-bis del Codice del Consumo. L'obbligo riguarda i contratti conclusi a partire dal June 19, 2026.

    Il cliente trova il pulsante

    Nell'area ordini del suo account, come link dentro le email d'ordine di WooCommerce, oppure su una pagina pubblica dove bastano numero d'ordine ed email: anche chi ha acquistato come ospite, senza account, arriva al modulo.

    Compila il modulo in due passaggi

    Rivede l'ordine — e può selezionare solo alcuni prodotti, perché il recesso parziale è ammesso — poi conferma. Nessuna motivazione obbligatoria, nessun passaggio nascosto.

    Riceve subito la prova

    All'istante parte la conferma di ricevimento su supporto durevole: email con il testo della dichiarazione, PDF allegato e link verificabile permanente, tutti con data e ora esatte.

    Tu vedi la richiesta e rimborsi

    L'ordine viene contrassegnato come «recesso richiesto» e compare nella dashboard Richieste con il suo stato (aperta, gestita, rimborsata). Il rimborso lo esegui tu da WooCommerce, come sempre.

    Tutto resta dimostrabile

    Ogni passaggio finisce in un registro immutabile, concatenato con hash e marcato temporalmente tramite OpenTimestamps. Se un domani un cliente contesta, la prova ce l'hai.

  • Non esegue rimborsi automatici. Il rimborso resta una tua decisione operativa: lo fai da WooCommerce e viene registrato come prova.
  • Non riscrive i tuoi documenti legali. Genera le clausole pronte da incollare in condizioni di vendita, informazioni precontrattuali e privacy policy, ma i documenti restano tuoi.
  • Non è consulenza legale. È uno strumento tecnico di supporto alla conformità: la validazione dei testi spetta al tuo consulente.

Frequently Asked Questions

Since when is it mandatory?
Per i contratti a distanza conclusi a partire dal June 19, 2026. Se vendi a consumatori nell'Unione Europea attraverso un sito o un'app, ti riguarda da quella data, indipendentemente dalla piattaforma che usi.
Does the button replace the withdrawal form (Annex I-B)?
No. Il modulo tipo resta obbligatorio e va messo a disposizione prima dell'acquisto: il pulsante è una modalità aggiuntiva e più semplice. Il plugin genera anche quel modulo, con uno shortcode da inserire nelle informazioni precontrattuali.
How does a customer who bought as a guest, without an account, make a return?
In two ways, both active immediately: from the link in the order email, or from the public return page by entering your order number and email. There is no need to create an account — that would be an obstacle, and the law requires that returning an item be as easy as buying one.
Do I need to add consent at checkout?
No, not for the withdrawal. The only consent that the plugin collects automatically concerns the exemptions under Article 59 and appears only for digital products with immediate access or services performed immediately.
What happens with digital products or services already rendered?
These are the cases where the right of withdrawal may not apply, but only if you have collected the customer's explicit consent and acknowledgment. The plugin manages them: you tag the products by statutory reason, consent is collected at checkout and stored as proof. Without valid consent, the button remains visible — the prudent choice in favor of the consumer.
Is the refund automatic?
No, and that's a choice. The plugin records the cancellation and notifies you; you process the refund yourself through WooCommerce, and it is noted in the log as proof that the refund was processed.
Does the plugin send data to external services?
For timestamping only, and solely a cryptographic fingerprint: a hash of the record is sent to the OpenTimestamps service, never personal data, names, emails, order contents, or IP addresses. You can disable it completely in the settings. No trackers or remote scripts are loaded on your site.
Does it work with FunnelKit or with a staged checkout?
Con entrambi. Il plugin dichiara la compatibilità con HPOS e con il checkout a blocchi di WooCommerce; su FunnelKit aggiunge il link nella thank-you page, il consenso sul checkout Aero e un merge tag per le Automations. In ogni caso il recesso resta sempre raggiungibile dall'area cliente e dalla pagina pubblica.
