The short answer: the cheapest package that allows you to use your own domain is Light, €14.00 per month net of VAT, paying annually in advance, that is, €168.00 net per year and €204.96 including VAT at 22%. If paid monthly, the same package costs €19,000 net per month, an additional 35.7%. Below you'll find all four packages in both options, what's included and what isn't, and the total cost over two years: which is the only timeframe in which the full cost of a website becomes clear.
Wix lists prices excluding VAT, and the 22% rate is added on top. We’re showing both columns because they’re two different numbers, and it’s helpful to know which one applies to you: the net amount applies to those with a VAT number, while the amount including VAT is the figure you’ll see charged.

There is also a free plan, but it operates on a subdomain of Wix and displays Wix ads. To connect your own domain, you need a Premium plan: Wix support explicitly states this. So for a business that wants to appear under its own name, the actual starting price is that of the Light plan.
Two lines that carry more weight than they seem: With Light, you cannot accept online payments, so anyone who wants to sell starts with the Core; and a Premium package is worth for a single site, if you have two, you need two.
What we were unable to read, and therefore do not write: storage space and bandwidth for Light, Core, and Business, and the maximum number of pages. The comparative table of assistance loads them via JavaScript and does not expose numbers per package. The only two published limits are 100 GB and 10 collaborators for Business Elite.
It's not a hidden penalty, it's written in the price list: €14.00 per month if you pay twelve months in advance, €19.00 per month if you pay month by month. But there's a second, less obvious consequence that concerns the domain.
€19.00 net per month versus €14.00. The difference isn't the same across all packages: on the Business Elite, it goes from €159.00 to €149.00, which is a much smaller difference. On the entry-level plan, however, it's the most significant, and it's the plan that's relevant to a local business. If you're comparing Wix with other providers, check which of the two figures you're looking at: almost all advertised price lists show the annual plan price.
The voucher for a free domain for one year is included only with the first purchase of an annual plan. Textually, from Wix support: if you have chosen a monthly billing cycle, you will not receive a voucher for a free domain. So those who pay monthly pay more for the subscription and also pay for the domain from day one.
Wix also publishes two- and three-year cycles, with the discount clearly stated: Light drops to €12.50 net per month on a two-year plan and to €11.00 on a three-year plan. Two years paid upfront cost €300.00 net, compared to €336.00 for two consecutive annual renewals. It's a real saving in exchange for upfront payment.

Net amounts excluding VAT. For two and three-year cycles, the good standing condition is not explicitly stated: customer service mentions the initial purchase of an annual package and excludes monthly billing, but does not mention multi-year cycles. It is worth asking before paying.
These are the two costs that almost no one includes when comparing price lists, and they are also the two that Wix publishes the least about. Below we present the conditions as written by customer support, and where a number is not present, we will state that it is not present.
None of the four packages include an address on your domain. Wix resells Google Workspace as a separate service: the article about choosing a package states that once you have the domain you can sign up for Google Workspace to get an address like [email protected].
Price of that box via Wix: not published in Italian. The two candidate pages return a 404. The only Google Workspace price we detected, $8.40 per month per user, comes from Squarespace's pages and not Wix's: to be fair, we are not using it in Wix's calculation. If you need to email clients from your domain instead of a Gmail address, this is an item to ask about before choosing a plan.
It's the most important thing on this entire page, and it benefits Wix. Out of the fourteen providers we've surveyed, almost none behave like this.
As of the survey date, the data source for Wix's pricing page returns catalog price, final price, first purchase price, and renewal price with identical values, for all billing cycles and all packages. That is: as of July 30, 2026, there was no introductory discount active on Wix, and the price for the second year is the same as the first. What you see displayed is what you will pay later as well.
It is worth seeing what it compares against, because it is the opposite of how almost the entire market works. GoDaddy Get it for €2.19/month on their economy hosting and renew at €10.99. Aruba it goes from €17.90 for the first year to €54.00 from the second, and it must be acknowledged that the renewal price is written right next to the promotional one. Register.it enters at €9.69 per month and renews at €166.15 per year. Hostinger it costs €2.99 a month only by paying forty-eight months in advance, and renews at €9.99. On this front, Wix is one of the most straightforward providers we have found.
With a clarification that takes nothing away from the merit: stability concerns the package fee. Domain renewal from the second year onwards remains an amount that Wix does not publish, so the total for the second year cannot be calculated in advance from the public pages anyway. The two things must be kept separate: Wix is transparent about the subscription fee, but not about the domain.
Two years and not one, because the domain is included over the twelve months and the bill seems lower than it actually is. Scenario: showcase website for a local business, custom domain, one mailbox on the domain, Light package with annual payment.

€336.00 net must be read as the minimum verifiable amount, not as the final cost. The second-year domain renewal and the email account are listed as expenses, but Wix does not disclose the amounts: therefore, we do not include them in our estimate, and they are excluded from the total. With VAT at 22%, the subscription fee alone comes to €409.92.
Our line: €390 net per year, domain and mailbox included for the entire duration, and the same for renewal. Over two years that comes to €780 with the launch promotion, which waives the €90 setup fee on the annual plan; at full price €870. Alternatively, €39 per month plus €90 setup.
To put it bluntly, because it's the only way to be credible: on the Wix subscription it costs less than us, and there is no comparison to be won. €336.00 versus €780.00 over two years, both net. If the question is which of the two figures is lower, the answer is the first, and this page could end right here. The difference lies in an item that appears in neither of the two price lists.
This is not a flaw in Wix: it is exactly what Wix claims to be, an editor with which you build your site, featuring an artificial intelligence that prepares the first version. But that means comparing the two fees is comparing two different things.

The difference between €336.00 and €780.00 over two years doesn't buy a better-looking website. It buys the fact that copy, photos, editing, and updates don't end up on your to-do list. Reviews and hours on the site are updated every month from your Google profile without anyone having to copy them by hand.
A note on fairness: Wix also has a marketplace of third-party professionals, the "Hire a Professional" option, for those who want to have someone else do the work. The cost is not published, because quotes are given by individual professionals: it is a channel, not a price, and for this reason it is not included in the calculation above.
We are a competing supplier, so this section matters more than the others. It is not a courtesy: these are the cases where, if you call us, we tell you to buy Wix.
An editor like Wix's, with AI preparing the first draft, is within reach of anyone with a few free evenings and a bit of patience. And anyone who gets the hang of it does a better job than an inattentive supplier would, because they know their own business better than anyone else. In that case, €14.00 a month is money well spent and you don't need us.
Anyone who updates the website frequently, anyone who wants to add a page at two in the morning without asking anyone for anything, feels restricted by a subscription managed by others. Wix gives you the keys. It is a real advantage, not a consolation prize.
On the same platform, there are an online store, reservations, restaurant management, CRM, and email marketing. If your problem is selling online or getting reservations, a showcase website doesn't solve it, and Wix is built for that. Keep in mind that to accept payments, you need at least the Core plan.
The free plan lets you see what the editor is like, with a Wix subdomain and Wix ads. On the Premium packages there is no free trial, but there is a 14-day money-back guarantee, and there is no minimum commitment other than the billing cycle you choose: you can change your plan at any time, up or down. Anyone who doesn't want to sign for two years doesn't sign here.
And for the sake of completeness, since this is a pricing page: Wix is not the cheapest choice on the Italian market, and neither are we. The cheapest way to be online with your own domain, as of July 30, 2026, is Aruba at around €72 for two years, domain and five mailboxes included.
