Register.it, website prices: two different products under the same brand.

Register.it sells two things that should not be confused. A tool, SiteBuilder, for €9.69 per month plus VAT in the first year and €166.15 per year upon renewal, with which you build the site yourself. And a service made by them, with their web agency, starting at €300 for a one-page website and €780 for a six-page site, under the "first year only" plan. Register.it does something with this second part that almost no one else in Italy does: publish the price. However, it only publishes half of it, because the price for the second year is missing, and the table even has a row titled "Renewal Price" which remains without amounts. This is the point of this page, and it is also the only truly homogeneous comparison we can make with us.

The complete price list Register.it is convenient when you need to register a domain name or purchase other web services like hosting, email, or website builders, especially if you are looking for a wide range of options and a user-friendly platform. It's often considered a good choice for individuals and small to medium-sized businesses in Italy due to its local presence and services tailored to the Italian market.

The price list, Promotion and renewal.

All amounts are net of VAT. Register.it is explicit about this and it should be acknowledged: the official price list states "The prices shown are VAT exclusive, refer to 1 year of maintenance, and do not take into account current offers.". The renewal column exists and is public, it's just on a different page than the one where you buy.

The conditions are written below the table, and they are clear: "Discounts are valid only for the purchase of new products and only for the first year. Upon renewal, the price applied will be the list price." On the official price list, the Start plan is listed under the name "Starter": it's the same plan.

Domain renewal is written as "starting from €22.70", so the total can rise with different extensions: the page note says verbatim "The domain included in the paid solutions is an Express domain and is free for the first year. The renewal price for Express domains with major extensions starts at €22.70." On that line, the page does not specify whether the amount includes or excludes VAT; the Register.it price list excludes VAT, and we have treated it as such.

Check made at the register on July 30, 2026

The price is "per month,", The invoice is annual..

We reached the cart with SiteBuilder Start and added a .it domain to it, without opening any account. That's as far as we get: to proceed further, we need to log in or register, so everything that follows stops before payment.

The cart wrote three lines: "estetica-esempio-solucom.IT, $0.00", "SiteBuilder Start, €116.30", "Subtotal € 116.30", and in the product box "SiteBuilder Start (1 Year)". From here, two things are learned that are not seen on the plans page. The first: the €9.69 per month is not an installment, The first year is paid in full.. The second: the total in the cash register is €116.30, while multiplying €9.69 by twelve would come to €116.28. It's two cents, it won't change anyone's life, but it's the reason why a figure is read from the cash register instead of being calculated.

The thing that actually changes something is what the cart no Dice. Next to the items, there's no question mark to open: the features are listed with the word "Included" and that's it. The price for the second year does not appear anywhere on the checkout page. At the bottom there is this line, reported verbatim: "Orders will be automatically renewed unless the contract is canceled from your control panel. For information on the renewal price, please consult our page dedicated to pricing." The renewal is therefore public, but to see it you have to leave the cart and go look for it on another page, while you are about to pay.

Last detail, still regarding the cart: on the cart page the word VAT does not appear Next to the amounts, the only occurrence is the company VAT number in the footer. On the plans page, however, it says "per month + VAT", so the base is net, but at checkout, the €116.30 is shown by itself. And next to the product there are two additional offers with the price clearly stated: "1 Email Address Pro 5GB of space (1 Year), €85.70" e "1000 email submissions daily (1 Year), €37.65".

Second Soul: Their Web Agency

When the site They do it.

The page is titled "YOUR NEW WEBSITE, EVEN IN WORDPRESS, WE'LL MAKE IT FOR YOU!" and it's the part of the price list that truly concerns us, because it's the only one comparable to what we sell. There's no shopping cart here: the buttons say "CONTACT US," and you connect via WhatsApp, phone, or a form to request a callback.

PackageFirst Year, Simply SiteFirst year, WordPressFrom the second yearWhat does it include
One Page Website300 €470 €unpublished1 page, domain, and SSL, 10 boxes of 2 GB on the Simply Site platform
Smart Site780 €1590 €unpublished6 pages, domain and SSL, 20 mailboxes of 2 GB on the Simply Site platform
E-commerce website1139 €2875 €unpublished6 pages, e-commerce module and payment systems, 100 GB of hosting on the WordPress version

All amounts are presented using the formula "for the first year". A necessary clarification on the VAT base: on these three pages It is not indicated whether the prices include or exclude VAT., the only instance of the word "VAT" is the company’s VAT number in the footer. Therefore, unlike all the other figures on this page, we do not know how to interpret these amounts, and we cannot deduce their meaning. Note: On the index page, the three packages appear as "from €300," "starting at €780," and “from €1,590”; however, on the detail pages, the €1,590 refers to the WordPress version of the Smart Site, while the e-commerce option starts at €1,139. Both figures appear on their website, and we’ve included both here.

What still remains your responsibility, in their own words

Underneath the tables for the three packages is a note in an asterisk that is worth more than many comparisons, because it accurately describes how the work is done. We reproduce it in full, without cuts: "The website developed by our web agency will have a standard structure. Logo design and creation are not included. However, you can modify and customize the site by accessing your client area and following our guides. For more extensive customizations, additional modules, or pages not included in the offer, the price may be increased. Once the site's structure is set up and the materials provided by the client are inserted as agreed, a preview link will be provided. You will be allowed to make one single modification executed by our web designers. We will not provide further modifications or updates. For any additional changes, you can proceed independently using the site's editor."

And the sentence that closes the note, which is the most useful of all for understanding who is bringing the content: "In the event that, within 15 days of the first contact with the consultant, no materials are provided by the client, the site will be published with standard content relevant to the client's industry."

There is nothing incorrect about this, and it is written before purchasing, which is already more than many do. But it says one specific thing: You bring the materials within fifteen days, and only one modification is included. This is the difference this page tries to make visible, and it's the same one that applies against agencies: the tier that costs more is not the one that asks for less work from the owner; often, it's the one that asks for more.

The central point, and it's worth verifying in person

There is a line "Renewal price", and it doesn't matter.

On the pages for the three packages, there is a comparison table between the Simply Site platform and WordPress. The first row below the prices is labeled "Renewal Price." Instead of the two numbers in the two columns, the words "Simply Site platform" and "WordPress platform" appear.

01
780 €only for the first year

The entrance fee is there, and that's a good thing.

First of all, it must be said: in our survey, Register.it is the only which publishes the starting price of a service where the website is managed by the provider. Another Italian competitor of the same type does not publish any prices, neither for entry nor for renewal, and you can only purchase by speaking with a salesperson on the phone. Compared to that, "from €780 for the first year" is true and usable information.

02
emptyin place of the two digits

The price for the second year, no

The line exists, so they asked themselves the question, but the cells don't contain amounts. It's not a hidden note at the bottom; it's a box that's expecting a number and doesn't have it. For a service sold with the "first year only" formula, it's precisely the number needed to make a decision.

03
FAQThe question is there, the figure is not

And in the FAQs, the answer is qualitative

To the question "How much will it cost me in the following years?" the page responds: "The cost for subsequent years varies depending on the chosen solution. Costs may include the domain, email accounts, hosting, and the updating and security maintenance of the entire platform." It's an honest answer in saying what will be included in the invoice, but it doesn't contain any figures or magnitudes.

04
no cartfor assisted services

And there isn't a cash register where you can read it

For SiteBuilder, the cart is available and accessible without an account. For the three packages created by the web agency, no: the buttons are "CONTACT US," with WhatsApp, phone, and callback form. Therefore, the renewal amount cannot be recovered even by proceeding with the purchase process, as we did for the other product. you find out by talking to a consultant.

Why we care about this verification: We made the same mistake. On another page of this site, we wrote that a provider did not declare the renewal price, and it wasn't true: it was inside a question mark that none of us had opened. We corrected it, and since then the rule is that before writing "not published," we go to checkout and open everything we can. We did this on Register.it: for the DIY option, the renewal price is there, on another page; for the assisted service, we didn't find it anywhere, so we wrote "not published" instead of estimating it.

An honest comparison, and for once it's homogeneous

€780 the first year, or €780 for two years.

With site builders, price comparison doesn't make sense, and we don't do it. With their web agency, however, it does: they are two services that fulfill the same need, which is to have a website without building it. And the Smart Site starts exactly at the price we cost in two years.

390 €390 €, sameWe'll take them from what you've already published. It's the year, plus the first round before payingupdated monthly: schedules and reviews

Our amounts are net: €390 per year, €780 for twenty-four months with the launch promo which, on the annual plan, waives the €90 setup fee, €870 at full price. Alternatively, €39 per month plus €90 for activation. For the €780 Smart Site We can't say if they are net or gross., because their page doesn't mention it: if VAT were included, the comparison of net amounts would be even more unfavorable to us in the first year, and it's only fair that you know this before reading the table.

The real difference isn't in the first year column, where we're practically the same. It's in the two right-hand columns. What you buy from them is a delivered website; what you buy from us is a website that stays updated. Every month, reviews, ratings, and hours are pulled from your Google listing automatically, and six times a year, we change what we ask you for. This isn't an extra feature; it's the reason ours is a subscription and not a one-time job.

And there’s the second-year column, which is why this page exists. Our price starting in the second year is €390—the same as the first year, as stated here and in our terms. Their price isn’t published: it could be lower than ours, it could be higher—we don’t know, and we won’t speculate. The only thing that can be said with certainty is that to know, you have to call.

However, if you are looking at SiteBuilder, meaning the do-it-yourself option, then the comparison changes its nature and it must be said clearly: €305.15 versus €780 over two years, they win on price. There the question is not how much it costs, but who finds the evenings to build it. The complete map of the three market segments is in the page on how much a website costs, and the same applies to other providers on the pages about Aruba prices and on Hostinger.

Said by a competitor, so weigh it carefully

When Register.it is the best choice.

This isn't the courtesy section you put at the end to seem balanced. These are five real reasons, and for some readers of this page, they are decisive. If you recognize yourself, buy Register.it: telling you this costs us less than selling you something you don't need.

01
Since 1999historic brand

If you want a supplier you already know

Register.it is one of the oldest names on the Italian web, and you'll find it mentioned everywhere, from accountants to local technicians. Today it's Register S.p.A., wholly owned by Combell NV, meaning it's part of a European group. For those who want a recognizable provider, with an Italian interface and documentation, and a company that will still be around in a few years, it's a choice that needs no explanation.

02
035 5787979Every day, 9 AM to 6 PM

If you want to be able to call someone in Italian

The number is published on the plans page, with the hours written next to it: every day from nine to six, plus real-time chat and tickets from the dashboard. For the service provided by their web agency, there is another number, with a dedicated consultant from Monday to Friday from ten to six. For a business owner who finds their website down at eight in the evening, being able to speak to a person is worth more than many features.

03
Price listpublic and complete

If you want to calculate the second year of DIY

On SiteBuilder, the renewal price is listed on a dedicated page, showing all three plans with the VAT clearly stated. You can calculate the total cost for two years before purchasing, which is more than is possible on several other price lists we’ve reviewed. That’s why, on this page, the "renewal" column for SiteBuilder is filled with numbers rather than dots.

04
20 daysfrom the dashboard, without PEC

If you want to be able to cancel the renewal yourself

The general conditions allow you to switch from automatic to manual renewal directly from the control panel, up to twenty days before expiration, without registered mail and without certified email. Article 7.6 allows for termination at any time with thirty days' notice, with a refund upon request for the unused portion, even for those who purchase with a VAT number. Not everyone in this sector offers this.

05
10 boxesalready on the entry level

If you need real email on your domain

The Start plan includes ten 2GB mailboxes and an SSL certificate, with no separate costs and no trial period. It's a generous offering for an entry-level plan: on many price lists, email is a twelve-month trial that then renews at a price you have to look for, or isn't included at all. Here it's included in the fee, and it remains included even at renewal.

A straightforward summary: If you want DIY and six pages are enough for you, SiteBuilder Start is a serious product at a reasonable price, and this page has served you in choosing them. It's a good fit. We prefer a reader who buys well elsewhere to a customer who, after three months, realizes they bought something they didn't need.

Four things to know, not four accusations

What to watch before buying.

They are all written on their pages and in their contractual documents: none are hidden. But these are the four that, in our experience, the customer discovers later, so they are worth reading beforehand.

01
+43%from the second year, on Start

The discount is valid for the first year and only on new products

The subscription goes from €116.30 to €166.15 net per year. The sentence is theirs and is below the table: "Discounts are valid only for the purchase of new products and only for the first year. Upon renewal, the price applied will be the list price." This is the standard business model in the sector, not a dishonesty, but if you compare entry prices, you are comparing promotions, not costs.

02
22,70 €starting from, from the second year

The free domain is free for one year

The included domain is an express domain, free for the first year; from the second year, renewal for the main extensions starts at €22.70. On a Start plan that renews at €166.15, that item accounts for about fourteen percent of the annual bill, and it doesn't appear anywhere in the price you see when choosing the plan.

03
5 daysto stop the test

The free trial renews at the list price

The free trial lasts for 30 days. At the end of the 30 days, the trial solutions will automatically renew at the list price. You can disable the free trial service yourself within 5 days of its expiration from your control panel. So the trial does not convert to the promotional price but to the full price, and the window to stop it is tight. Mark the calendar on the same day you activate it.

04
Article 8.1The 14 days are for the consumer.

With a VAT number, there's no changing your mind.

The free withdrawal within fourteen days applies to individual customers acting for purposes unrelated to their professional activity. A hairdresser, a plumber, or a nutritionist with a VAT number does not fall under that protection, and Article 7.6 remains in effect, i.e., withdrawal with thirty days' notice and pro-rata refund upon request. This is a distinction that applies to almost all contracts in this sector, not just theirs.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions they ask us about Register.it.

How much does a website cost with Register.it?

It depends on which of the two things you buy. Do-It-Yourself, SiteBuilder Start€9.69 per month plus VAT for the first year with a 30 percent discount, which at checkout becomes a single payment of €116.30, and €166.15 per year upon renewal. Adding the domain renewal express for €22.70, the twenty-four months make €305.15 net, which is €372.28 including 22% VAT. Website made by themfrom €300 for a single page and from €780 for the Smart Site, both "for the first year only," and the price from the second year is not published. All recorded on July 30, 2026.

How much does it cost to redesign the website made by their web agency?

It is not published, and we do not estimate it. In the package comparison table there is a row titled "Renewal price" and the cells do not contain amounts. In the frequently asked questions the same question is asked and the answer is: "The cost for subsequent years varies depending on the chosen solution. Costs may include the domain, email accounts, hosting, and the updating and security maintenance of the entire platform." No figures and no order of magnitude. For those packages there isn't even a cart where you can read it: you buy them by contacting a consultant.

Are Register.it prices inclusive or exclusive of VAT?

On do-it-yourself, they are clear, and they say so themselves: the plans page writes "per month + VAT" and the official price list writes "The indicated prices are excluding VAT, refer to 1 year of maintenance, and do not take into account ongoing offers.". Instead, on the three pages of the services created by their web agency, there is no indicationthe only occurrence of the word VAT is the corporate VAT number in the footer. Therefore, we do not know on what basis to read those €300, €780, and €1139, and we cannot deduce it from this page. Our prices are net because we only work with VAT-registered businesses.

With SiteBuilder, do I have to make the website myself?

Yes, and that is what the product promises. On the Business and Pro plans there is an AI-powered wizard that prepares the first version; on the Start plan it is not indicated in the plan table. In any case, texts, photos, and updates remain yours, today and whenever something changes. If you want someone else to do the work, the right product in their price list is not SiteBuilder: it is the web agency packages, which start at €300 and €780 for the first year.

Can you reach the cart without opening an account?

As for SiteBuilder, yes. On July 30, 2026, we put Start in the cart and added a .it domain to it without registering: the line items, subtotal, and add-on proposals are visible. To go further, you need to log in or create an account, and that's where we stopped. For the three packages made by their web agency, the cart does not exist: the buttons are "CONTACT US" and you go through WhatsApp, phone, or callback form. When an amount cannot be reached at checkout, we write it on this page instead of deducing it.

Is Register.it better, or a subscription service like yours?

They are two different answers. Against SiteBuilder They win on price: 305.15 € versus 780 € over two years, both net, and anyone trying to make you believe otherwise is selling you something. There the difference is who does the work. Against theirs service provided by the web agency the comparison is on equal terms and more interesting: the Smart Site starts at €780 for the first year, with €780 we do two years, our renewal price is in writing and stays at €390, we take the content from what you have already published and the site updates itself every month. How it works is explained in the Local Business Service Page.

Are you biased in this comparison?

Yes, and on this page more than on others, because Register.it also sells a service similar to ours. That’s why the page is written this way: we acknowledge that their self-service options cost less than ours, that their renewal price list is public and complete, and that they are the only Italian competitor that publishes the starting price for a managed service. Where we say "not published," we also tell you where we looked. We’ll add one thing for the sake of fairness: Solucom is a Slovenian company with an Italian-speaking team, so on this page you won’t find any “Italians vs. foreigners” rhetoric, which has nothing to do with price or the work itself.

Method

How we collected these prices.

  • Two readings, the same day. List prices come from register.it pages captured on July 30, 2026: SiteBuilder plans, official price list, website creation, One Page, Smart Site, e-commerce, general terms of service, and SiteBuilder service order. Figures marked "cart" come from a checkout verification performed on July 30, 2026. No blogs, no comparison sites, no affiliate sites.
  • We reached the cart without opening an account, with SiteBuilder Start and a .it domain, and we stopped before payment. In the cart there are no question marks to open next to the items, and the renewal price does not appear: there is a line that links to the price list page. For the web agency packages the cart does not exist, and we wrote it instead of deducing.
  • The VAT base is declared item by item, because on this site it changes: the SiteBuilder is VAT excluded and they state that; the three packages made by the web agency have no indication. Our €390 a year and €780 over two years are net.
  • The calculation is always over twenty-four months, never just the first year. On the first year, they would win the comparison with the do-it-yourself option, and it wouldn't even be a fair comparison anyway.
  • A small correction to our own accounts. We had calculated the first year of Start as €9.69 times twelve, which is €116.28. At the register, the amount is €116.30 and it is paid all at once. The difference is two cents and is irrelevant, but it is the reason why an amount is read at the register instead of multiplying it.
  • Where data is not published, we write it down. On this page, the main issue is the renewal price of the three packages created by their web agency, and the second is the VAT base of the same. An undeclared estimate is the easiest way to make a comparison page false.
  • The clauses come from their contract documents, not summaries: automatic renewal for periods of equal duration from Article 7.2, list price upon renewal from Article 4.5, switch to manual renewal from Article 7.4, withdrawal with thirty days from Article 7.6, and the fourteen-day cooling-off limit for the consumer from Article 8.1.
  • We are a competing supplier, and we state this on the page. Because of this, the comparison is structured so that you don't have to trust us: every figure can be verified on their pages, and promotions expire, so the date above is part of the information.
If you are evaluating a website made by someone else

We will send you your already-made website, then you decide.

We prepare your business website with your actual content, the kind you've already published, and we send you the link. It costs zero, no credit card is required, and you don't need to hand over any materials within fifteen days: if it doesn't convince you, that's the end of it. But you get to compare two things that actually exist, not a quote and an idea, and you already know what you'll pay the second year because it's the exact same amount as the first.
