Where to be careful

  • The diagram should reflect what is seen. This is the most important rule: structured data must describe content that is actually present and visible on the page. Declaring reviews or prices that are not there is considered deceptive and can lead to penalties.
  • They do not guarantee rich results. Provide the information the right way, but it's the search engine that decides if and how to display it. The schema increases the chances, not the certainties.
  • They need to be kept up to date. Changed schedules, old prices, past events left in the code provide wrong information. Incorrect structured data is worse than no data.
